Are colonics safe?
Colon Hydrotherapy is safe. There are no chemicals or harmful drugs involved and all equipment is single use to avoid cross contamination. There are some conditions whereby colonic irrigation is not advisable. These can be discussed with your therapist prior to booking.
Is it a painful procedure?
The answer is no. The purpose of the colonic is to improve your wellbeing. Your therapist will offer you sufficient information to help you relax therefore minimizing any discomfort you may experience.
Is my immune system affected by this treatment?
Good bacteria thrive in clean conditions. Removing stagnant or putrefied waste will enable them to multiply more effectively, further enhancing the immune system. Probiotic supplement is offered as part of the procedure to compensate for that which is removed.
Can I eat normally before and after the treatment?
During the treatment abdominal massage is given, therefore it is advisable not to eat a big meal prior to your appointment. It is also advisable not to consume alcohol immediately after your treatment as it will be absorbed into the bloodstream much quicker than usual. However a light nourishing meal may be beneficial.
Will I lose weight?
Many people boast weight loss. This is not guaranteed. However it’s a great way to kick start a diet.
How often should elimination occur?
Bowel action should effectively take place after each meal or at least once daily.

How many treatments will I need?
This is dependent on individual needs. Someone suffering from constipation will probably need 4-6 sessions close together, others may need less. Further treatments 1-3 monthly are advisable.
How will I feel afterwards?
